“ Our family visited the Guac Box on a whim, needing lunch in the middle of a long drive home. We are so glad we did! The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, like meeting a new friend. We felt completely at ease. She took our orders and accommodated a couple of special requests. The atmosphere was casual, colorful, and fun. The food arrived promptly and we were all so pleased with our orders. We could tell each element of the meal was freshly prepared. The balance of flavors was perfect. Even our discriminating 6 year old couldn't get enough of the guacamole! It's rare to find a spot that pleases everyone and makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable. “ We stopped in yesterday for lunch and we couldn’t have found a better place on our way to Lake George. We ordered the guac box, a veggie fiesta burrito, and a taco salad. Everything was so delicious, flavorful, and fresh. The restaurant is owned by a couple who is incredibly dedicated to you having the an awesome experience. We are vegetarian and they were able to cater the order to meet our needs! We will make it a point to return before we head back home. ”

“ How have I not made the trip to the Guac Box before now? I live 15 minutes away (more like a half hour with this weekend's car show traffic, but still), and I had my first meal there this weekend. Warrensburg seems to be undergoing a food renaissance. 2 excellent pizza places, the new barbecue restaurant, and this seriously amazing Mexican food establishment. We are starting to drive north more often instead of trying to decide which of Queensbury's chain options is the least unappealing. First, what a warm and friendly welcome we received! We loved the decor and how inviting it felt to spend an hour enjoying great food and relaxing. Drink options included a soda machine or bottles of Jarritos (Mandarin is my standard favorite). The menu is pretty extensive and usually includes a couple of specials of the day. Honestly, everything looks good, but with 2 of us eating, I knew that chips and queso with 2 entrees were all that we could manage (I should have brought more people!). Chips and queso were really good. I opted for the regular, as I am not a fan of chorizo, and I really appreciated the distraction while I waited for the rest of our food. Perfect consistency and a pretty large serving. I would have had extra to bring home, but we were out for the day. We selected the Crispy Cheesebirria Quesadillia and Carne Asada Steak Tacos. As soon as I had the first bite of a taco, I knew this was going to be good. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sauce and toppings tasted so fresh. I didn't want to get to the last bite and know it was over. Next, the quesadilla. Braised beef - soooo tender and delicious! I have never had anything quite like this and would definitely order it again. This entree also came with rice and beans. Sometimes, places make the sides seem like an afterthought. Not here, though. Rice was really, really good. And the beans may be the best I have had anywhere, even including ones I had in San Antonio. They are refried but seemed almost charro-style, which are my favorite. I could not resist trying dessert and opted for chocolate mousse, which was also a winner. Very light and very delicious. Highly, highly recommend trying this place out. ”
